Lunch and Literature returns! 1/20/11 at 12:30pm

As we settle into the Spring Semester, please join us for Lunch and Literature on Thursday, January 20 at 12:30pm in the Bluford Library Seminar Room to discuss Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers: The Story of Success. This book covers fascinating topics such as wet rice agriculture's impact on mathematical skills and how cultural norms can contribute to airline crashes.

For more information, check out Malcolm Gladwell's official website for the book. It includes a few excerpts that are sure to pique your interest.

If you can't make it this Thursday, never fear! We have two great titles picked out for February and April:

February 16, 2011: always outnumbered, always outgunned by walter mosley. You can pick up a copy at this week's L&L discussion.

April 12, 2011: Cold Running Creek by Zelda Lockhart

OutlIers is on my reading list for later the winter. I would love to know how the gathering went. Also I noticed"Cold Running Creek" for future reading. I believe it was A&Ts text in community 2006-07... L&L did not get to share it. So this is a good one to revisit. Keep up the great work.
